Heinrich Adolf Burchardi

Heinrich Adolf Burchardi , also Adolph Heinrich Burchardi (* December 21, 1788 in Grube , † December 19, 1865 in Heiligenhafen ) was a German Evangelical Lutheran clergyman and member of the Schleswig-Holstein state assembly.

Life

Heinrich Adolf Burchardi came from a family that had produced pastors and professors in Schleswig-Holstein since the progenitor Anton Burchard, who was born in 1584 . He was a son of the pastor in Grube Johann Anton Burchardi (1740-1823), who had previously been a Danish legation preacher in Vienna . Samuel Christoph Burchardi was his younger brother; the lawyer Georg Christian Burchardi was his cousin. From 1809 to 1816 he studied Protestant theology at the Universities of Kiel and Berlin. In 1818 he passed the official examination in Glückstadt and, as was customary at the time, first went to school. In 1818 he was rector in Pinneberg and in 1822 rector of the city school in Itzehoe . During this time he published poems in the Itzehoer Wochenblatt . In 1828 he received his first pastor as a deacon (2nd pastor) in Itzehoe. In 1837 he became a pastor in Heiligenhafen, where he stayed until the end of his life. He was a participant in the Germanist Day in Lübeck in 1847 .

During the Schleswig-Holstein uprising , he was a member of the constituent Schleswig-Holstein state assembly from the summer of 1848 . He represented the Holstein 21 constituency , which included the parishes of Heiligenhafen, Großenbrode , Neukirchen , Oldenburg and Grube.
