Heinrich Böhmer
Heinrich Böhmer (born October 6, 1869 in Zwickau , † March 25, 1927 in Bad Nauheim ) was a German Lutheran theologian and church historian .
Life
Heinrich Böhmer was born on October 6, 1869 in Zwickau as the son of the director of the prison Wilhelm Arthur (1839–1905) and Katharina Marie Böhmer. First at the University of Leipzig , then at the University of Berlin , Böhmer studied both Protestant theology and history from 1889 to 1893 . In 1895 he became an employee of the Monumenta Germaniae Historica . At Leipzig University he had been a private lecturer in church history since 1898 , and was promoted to associate professor four years later . In 1903 he worked as an associate professor and from 1906 as a full professor at the University of Bonn . From 1912 he taught at the University of Marburg and from 1915 again at the University of Leipzig. In 1920 he was accepted as a full member of the Saxon Academy of Sciences . Böhmer died on March 25, 1927 in Bad Nauheim. He was single.
