Heinrich Carl Wilhelm Küpfer

Heinrich Carl Wilhelm Küpfer (born February 8, 1792 in Dortmund , † January 30, 1865 in Berlin ) was a German freedom fighter, diplomat and parliamentarian.

Life

Küpfer was the stepson of the diplomat and minister Count Albrecht von der Goltz . After visiting the Pädagogium in Halle (Saale) he studied at the Georg-August University of Göttingen and the University of Jena jurisprudence . He also pursued philological and theological studies. In 1809 he became a member of the Corps Saxonia Jena . In 1812 he entered Russian services. He became a second lieutenant in 1814 and took part in the campaign against Napoleon on the Russian General Staff . In 1815 he joined the Prussian service. From 1816 to 1824 he was legation secretary at the Bundestag in Frankfurt am Main , from 1825 to 1830 in Constantinople and from 1830 to 1832 in France and on a mission in Portugal. From 1832 to 1837 it was of no use. In 1837 he retired early and was appointed Legation Councilor. He then went on numerous trips abroad. From 1849 to 1854 he was an advisor to the Prussian Prime Minister Otto Theodor von Manteuffel , for whom he wrote numerous memoranda. Küpfer wrote some political publications. From 1830 he was the owner of the manor Cziacze.

MP

Küpfer was a member of the United State Parliament from 1847. In 1848 he was deputy in the Prussian National Assembly for the Prince of Prussia , for whom he largely fulfilled the mandate. In 1849 he sat in the first legislative period as a member of the constituency of Bromberg in the Prussian House of Representatives .

From 1850 to 1854 Küpfer was a member of the First Chamber of the Prussian State Parliament and since 1851 a member of the Provincial Parliament of the Province of Posen .
