Heinrich Frick

Heinrich Frick (born November 2, 1893 in Darmstadt , † December 31, 1952 in Marburg an der Lahn ) was a German Protestant theologian .

Life

From 1919 Heinrich Frick was a private lecturer in religious studies and mission studies at the TH Darmstadt . In 1921 he completed his habilitation at the University of Gießen and became an associate professor there in 1924. From 1927 Frick was professor of systematic theology and religious studies in Marburg and director of the local religious history collection . After the " seizure of power " by the National Socialists , he became a supporting member of the SS in 1933 and joined the National Socialist Teachers' Association , the National Socialist People's Welfare and the Reich Air Protection Association . 1934/35 initially vice dean, he was dean of the Marburg theological faculty from 1937 to 1945 . On his initiative, the Hessian Scholarship Institution , whose Ephorus he had been since 1937, moved to Marburg Castle in 1946 . In 1947 he became university rector . In the same year he took over the management of the general association of German evangelical mission conferences and became a member of the German Evangelical Mission. Frick was also the chairman of the Hessian Mission Conference. From 1930 to 1932 he was a member of the German State Party (DStP).
