Heinrich Günther von Baudissin

Heinrich Günther von Baudissin (born March 30, 1636 in Kiel , † September 19, 1673 in Gottorp ) was bailiff of Gottorp and ducal court marshal . He was also the heir to the Cronsburg estate near Kiel.

Life

He first went into Spanish service and then became a major in 1666. In 1667 he was appointed secret councilor and official in Eutin . From 1672 he was court marshal of the Duke of Gottorf.

He was buried in Schleswig Cathedral.

family

His parents were General Wolf Heinrich von Baudissin (1579–1646) and his second wife Sophia von Rantzau (1620–1697). He was also married twice. His first wife was the English Countess Nonny Cunningham († 1661) in 1659 , and she was also buried in the cathedral. The couple had a child:

His second wife was Sarah Margrethe von Günderrode (born January 17, 1642 † May 8, 1723 in Lindau, Eckernförde) in 1662 . After her death she was transferred to the cathedral church of Schleswig. The couple had the following children:

  • Hedwig (* 1668; † 1730) ⚭ 1693 Benedict Frederik von Rumohr (* 1660; † around 1727) interim commander of Kiel
  • August Friedrich (born June 20, 1669)
  • Wolf Heinrich (1671–1748) (progenitor of those von Baudissin and first count)
