Heinrich Henggeler

Heinrich Henggeler (born October 3, 1851 in Unterägeri , † October 25, 1905 in Bérard, today Ain Tagourait in Algeria , Catholic , then reformed , entitled to live in Unterägeri and Zurich ) was a Swiss entrepreneur and politician (FDP) .

biography

Heinrich Henggeler was born on October 3, 1851 in Unterägeri as an entrepreneur and liberal politician Wolfgang Henggeler and the Barbara nee Schmid. After graduating from school in Zurich and then attending the boarding school in Grandson , Heinrich Henggeler began a technical and commercial apprenticeship in a Winterthur spinning mill in 1866 . In addition to his apprenticeship, he completed further training in England in 1869 .

As a result, Heinrich Henggeler worked as technical director of the " Spinnerei an der Lorze " in Baar between 1870 and 1904 , before he retired to his Algerian winery. He also served in the Swiss Army with the rank of lieutenant colonel .

Heinrich Henggeler, who was married to Anna, the daughter of the Grosswangen farmer Josef Eiholzer, died on October 25, 1905 three weeks after he had turned 54 in Bérard. He was August's younger brother and a nephew of Alois Henggeler .

Political offices

As a member of the Free Democratic Party, Heinrich Henggeler was a member of the Baar residents' council from 1874 to 1877. Between 1886 and 1888 he was a member of the Zug government council . Henggeler was considered a staunch military man and entrepreneur as well as a determined liberal.
