Life

In 1900 he went to the Trinity Church of the Lutheran parish of Elberfeld as a pastor , where he officiated for 34 years until he was 75.

Niemöller wrote several spiritual and church-historical writings and newspaper articles, as well as two autobiographical publications. The University of Bonn awarded him an honorary doctorate in theology in 1925 .
