Heinrich Rupp (born March 12, 1888 in Leisenwald ; † January 6, 1972 ) was a Hessian politician ( SPD ) and a former member of the Hessian state parliament .

Heinrich Rupp worked as a self-employed farmer after elementary school and ran a post office. He was politically active from 1918 and a member of the SPD from 1920. After the seizure of power in 1933 he was arrested by the National Socialists but released after a short time because of his leg problems. However, the post office was withdrawn from him and he had to work as a smallholder. From the first free local elections in 1946 to June 30, 1966, he was mayor of the Leisenwald community near Wächtersbach , an office in which he was provisionally appointed after the American invasion in 1945.

From February 26, 1946 to July 14, 1946 he was a member of the appointed advisory state committee and from December 1, 1946 to November 30, 1954 a member of the Hessian state parliament.

From 1954 he was a district committee member in the district of Gelnhausen .
