Heinrich Leopold Sylvius Franz von Aulock (born July 12, 1824 in Ober-Seichwitz , † March 5, 1885 in Kostau ) was a German medic, landowner and member of the German Reichstag .

Life

Kostau Castle around 1860, Alexander Duncker collection

He came from the Silesian noble family von Aulock . His parents were Hyacinth von Aulock (1790-1873) and his wife Karoline Adelheid von Sommoyi (* September 8, 1791, † May 31, 1863).

Aulock attended Mathias grammar school and university in Breslau and had been a farmer on his estates in Kostau and Kochelsdorf in the Kreuzburg district since 1847 . Since 1864 he was state elder in the Breslau-Brieger Principality and since 1874 head of the district of Pitschen-Kreuzburg.

Between 1863 and 1870 and from 1882 until his death he was a member of the Prussian House of Representatives and from 1881 to 1882 of the German Reichstag for the German Center Party and the constituency of Opole District 1 ( Kreuzburg , Rosenberg OS ). With the Reichstag election in 1881 , an unusual alliance began in this constituency. The conservatives and the center had agreed to share the state parliament mandates equally. Aulock therefore had no conservative opponent in the 1881 election, after he had run unsuccessfully several times. In return he promised to return the mandate after a successful candidacy in the state elections in 1882, which he did on November 16, 1882. This alliance lasted until the end of the monarchy. In a by-election, Christian Kraft zu Hohenlohe-Öhringen was elected to the Reichstag for him in 1883.
