Heinrich von Bock (lawyer)

Heinrich August von Bock (born March 27, 1771 in Kersel near Paistu , Estonia ; † March 21, 1863 ibid) was a Livonian lawyer , politician, economist and writer from the Bock family of the Lachmes family .

Life

Heinrich August von Bock was a son from the marriage of Bernhard von Bock and Helene Juliane von Bock born. Zoege from Manteuffel . He received his first lessons in the Heilmann Institute in Walk , then in his father's house. In 1786 he entered Russian military service as a non-commissioned officer , but took his leave again in 1790 . From 1792 he worked at various courts, partly as a judge. From 1813 he was a member of the Livonian Economic Society. In addition, he was one of the founders of the Society for History and Archeology in Riga .

Heinrich August von Bock was enrolled together with Heinrich Berend Wilhelm von Bock auf Sellie (1781-1857) on February 15, 1818 with the Estonian knighthood .

Heinrich August von Bock was married three times.

  • His first marriage was on May 21, 1791, Freiin Friederike Helene von Stackelberg (1770–1837).
  • In his second marriage, he married Sophia Auguste von Wrangell (1782-1825) on September 1, 1815 .
  • On July 10, 1838, he married Charlotte Juliane von Sivers (1803-1881), the sister of the writer Jégor von Sivers .
