Heinrich von Pückler

Heinrich Graf von Pückler (born April 14, 1835 in Berlin ; † May 17, 1897 in Riva del Garda ) was the owner of the majorate and a member of the German Reichstag .

Life

Pückler attended grammar school in Schweidnitz and in 1854 joined the 1st Guards Dragoons regiment. In 1859 he joined the Guards Landwehr Cavalry. Then he took over his father's property in Welna near Parkowo (Schönfeld). He took part in the wars of 1866 and 1870–71 in France with the first Guard Infantry Division. In 1871 he inherited Branitz from his cousin Prince Hermann von Pückler-Muskau . He was a member of the district council and in 1885 a member of the provincial state parliament in Poznan . Pückler traveled to Germany, Austria, France, Spain, Africa, Italy, Switzerland and Greece.

From 1890 to 1893 he was a member of the German Reichstag for the constituency administrative district Frankfurt 9 Cottbus , Spremberg and the German Conservative Party .

Heinrich von Pückler married Louise de Constant Rebecque (1835–1921) in 1861 and had six children with her, five of whom reached adulthood, namely Sylvius (1862–1891), August (1864–1937), Heinrich (1865–1950), Hermann (1871–1915) and Friedrich (1877–1963).
