Heinz Auerswald

Heinz Otto Auerswald (born October 29, 1891 in Zschopau , † December 22, 1974 in Güstrow ) was a German painter and graphic artist.

He was the son of the senior teacher Otto Auerswald and his wife Clara geb. Ullrich.

Auerswald lived with other artists such as Josef Hegenbarth from 1921 to 1972 in the Künstlerhaus Loschwitz . Among other things, he painted landscapes, including etchings and aquatints , e.g. As a bookplate in the Art Nouveau style for Helge Thierbach ( "Dancing"). The Saxon Art Association exhibited his pictures in Dresden in 1934 .
