Heinz Aull

Heinz Aull (born January 27, 1926 in Dittichenrode , Sangerhausen district ; † February 8, 1996 ) was a German politician of the Socialist Unity Party of Germany (SED) in the German Democratic Republic (GDR). From 1963 to 1970 and from 1981 to 1987 he was Deputy Minister for Post and Telecommunications in the GDR.

Life

After elementary school and vocational school , the son of a blacksmith Heinz Aull worked for the post office . In 1943 he was drafted into the Reich Labor Service and in 1944 in the German Wehrmacht , where he fought in World War II . At the end of 1944 Aull was taken prisoner by the Americans , was released after the end of the war and returned to Saxony-Anhalt .

From 1945 to 1947 Aull was acting head of the post office in Roßla . In 1946 he joined the SED. In 1948/49 he was head of the post office in Elbingerode (Harz) and in 1949/50 operations manager of the district press sales department in Halle (Saale) . 1950/51 he was an advisor to the Oberpostdirektion Halle and the Ministry for Post and Telecommunications . In 1951/52 Aull studied at the Technical School for Finance in Brandis and in 1952 became chief advisor and chief accountant in the Ministry of Post and Telecommunications. From 1955 to 1958 Aull completed further studies at the party college "Karl Marx" and achieved a diploma in social sciences . In 1965 he became a doctor of economics doctorate .

From 1959 to 1963 and from 1965 Aull was head of the planning department in the Ministry of Post and Telecommunications. From 1963 to 1970 and 1981 to 1987 Aull was deputy minister for post and telecommunications in the GDR and from 1971 to 1981 deputy head of the transport and communications department of the SED's central committee .
