Heinz Burzynski

Heinrich Burzynski (born June 17, 1910 in Berlin ; † April 26, 1954 ) was a German jazz and entertainment musician ( trumpet ) and band leader who was active in wartime Berlin, among other places.

Life

Burzynski played in Berlin swing bands in the late 1930s , for example with Günter Herzog . In the early 1940s he was musical director of the Kabarett der Komiker ( KadeKo ), a revue of popular entertainment in the Theater am Schiffbauerdamm .

He performed with his orchestra in the Delphi Filmpalast in the early 1940s and recorded a number of German-language hits in a swing arrangement such as “Alles wird gut”, “Hand in Hand”, “Now there shouldn't be a day without love”, “ I have to talk to Papa first ”,“ Maybe another time ”and“ It's lucky that you can fall in love like that ”. During the war he worked for the troop support. In 1942/43 Macky Kasper , Jean Orban, Helmuth Klopsch (trumpet), Willibald Winkler (trombone), Benny de Weille (clarinet, alto saxophone), Omar Lamparter (alto sax), Lothar Häussler (tenor sax, clarinet), Primo Angeli played in Burzynski's orchestra (Piano), Eddie Rothe (guitar), Otto Tittmann (bass) and Herbert Kysielka (drums). Tom Lord lists him in the field of jazz in 1942 with two recording sessions. With his band he took in November 1943, the last Electrola- 78s (the war on 'd I 'so much a child of yours , from the operetta The Golden Cage ), which was published in a small edition.

There are no further recordings by Burzynski from the post-war period.
