Heinz Eickmeyer
Heinz Eickmeyer , occasionally also spelling Eickmeier , (* July 13, 1930 in Osnabrück ; † November 3, 1994 in Munich ) was a German film architect , set designer and costume designer.
Live and act
Eickmeyer completed an apprenticeship as a bricklayer, then worked as a draftsman and studied architecture. Eickmeyer made his first contact with the theater through the Hamburg theater principal Ida Ehre in Hamburg and learned his practical craft as an assistant set designer . He later rose to become a freelance production designer.
In 1968, Heinz Eickmeyer made his debut as chief architect for the cinema.
