Heinz Gamper

Heinz Gamper (born December 3, 1949 in Marling ) is a South Tyrolean zither player , pianist and accordionist .

Life

Heinz Gamper was born on December 3, 1949 in Marling. Since 1976 he has performed countless times with the zither , including in front of Sandro Pertini , Franz Josef Strauss , Luis Trenker , Pope John Paul II , Joe Cocker , the family of Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev, and in the Hôtel Ritz in Paris 1996. Beside the zither he can master the xylophone , accordion , guitar , trumpet , piano , accordion , raffele and mandolin . He completed his music studies (piano and trumpet) in Bolzano , was a trumpeter in the army band in Rome in 1970 and conductor of the Marling band. TV appearances include “ Grand Prize ” and numerous ZDF Sunday concerts . His repertoire ranges from classical music to film music and musicals to popular hits and real folk music . In South Tyrol he hosted over 120 programs on TVS and published a zither school with an educational video for Koch Music . Heinz Gamper also competed in the South Tyrolean preliminary decision at the Grand Prix of Folk Music 2008 with the song “A love song”. Since 2010 he has hosted the program “Klingendes Südtirol” at Rai Südtirol .

Heinz Gamper is married and has four children.
