Heinz Jentzsch
Heinz Jentzsch (born March 13, 1920 in Hoppegarten near Berlin ; † April 21, 2012 in Baden-Baden ) was the most successful trainer in the history of German gallop racing .
During his active time from 1942 to 1999 he recorded 4,029 victories. From 1960 to 1994 Jentzsch was 31 times the most successful trainer of the year (trainer championship). His successor as a trainer in the Asterblüte stables in Cologne was Peter Schiergen . Heinz Jentzsch trained a total of eight winners in the German Derby :

- 1976: Stuyvesant
- 1978: magician
- 1984: Lagunas
- 1985: Acatenango
- 1993: Lando
- 1994: Laroche
He is the most successful derby coach after George Arnull. He was even more successful at the Diana Prize . Here he clearly leads the ranking with a total of eleven wins.
In 1992 Jentsch received the Federal Cross of Merit, First Class .
