Heinz Ullmann
Heinz Ullmann (born April 18, 1886 in Berlin ; † August 12, 1968 there ) was a German politician ( FDP ).
Life and work
After attending grammar school, Ullmann completed an apprenticeship in banking and then worked at Deutsche Bank AG . He later passed the exam as a chartered accountant and then worked as an auditor and tax advisor in Berlin. From 1961 to 1969 he was a member of the Advisory Board of the Friedrich Naumann Foundation for Freedom .
politics
Ullmann joined the FDP and was a member of the Berlin House of Representatives from 1951 to 1958 . After the death of the governing mayor Ernst Reuter ( SPD ) on September 29, 1953, the coalition of the SPD, CDU and FDP broke up. The SPD went into the opposition, while the CDU and the FDP took over government under the new governing mayor, Walther Schreiber . Ullmann was elected to succeed Herbert Hausmann (SPD) as Senator for Transport and Enterprises of the State of Berlin . However, the coalition lost its majority a year later, as the SPD won an absolute majority in the 1954 parliamentary elections and has now entered into a coalition with the CDU. The FDP left the coalition and Ullmann left office on January 11, 1955.
