Heinz Voss (actor)

Heinz Karl Voss , also Heinz Voss , (born October 2 (other sources 22nd) 1922 in Königsberg , East Prussia ; † November 7, 2000 in Wuppertal ) was a German actor .

Life

After attending primary school, Voss received training as a masseur and actor and had his first theater experience since the late 1930s in the choir of various German theaters. After the war he started at the Märkische Landesbühnen, followed by engagements as an actor at the two most important East Berlin theaters, Theater am Schiffbauerdamm and Deutsches Theater .

At the same time, Voss, who at the age of nine had already worked in the extras for the first film adaptation of Emil and the Detectives , appeared with supporting roles in one or the other DEFA film production . He received the GDR Art Prize for the role of Klutig in the 1960 television film Nackt unter Wölfen . After the Wall was built in 1961, Voss , who was based in Berlin-Siemensstadt , also moved professionally to the West and played theaters in Switzerland ( Bern ) and the Federal Republic (long-time member of the Wuppertal Theaters ).
