Hot Cold is a German rock - group , which is currently Labello. It was founded in 2010 by the musicians Mathias Bloech, Marius Bornmann, Philipp Koch and Lucas Mayer in Sindelfingen / Böblingen .

history

Heisskalt was founded in October 2010 by Mathias Bloech, Marius Bornmann, Philipp Koch and Lucas Mayer. Mathias Bloech and Marius Bornmann were previously part of the trio "On Top of the Avalanche". Philipp Koch and Lucas Mayer played together with Alexander Widmann and Johannes Mayer in the band "Big Spin". The first concert after the foundation took place in Horb am Neckar in summer 2011 , followed by other concerts in the Stuttgart area . In June 2011 the group released their first EP under the title Heisskalt . With urge to move , the first video for the EP was released in October. This was created under the direction of Ingo Schmitt. In 2011 Heisskalt took part in the competition for the Play Live band promotion award . The group was able to reach the final together with StereoDrama, Daniela Volpicelli and Fire Walk With Me. In this, the band prevailed on February 25, 2012, which resulted in a performance at the Southside Festival and participation in the German Music Council's PopCamp band funding program . In the run-up to the festival appearance, a documentary about the development of the band by the EinsPlus station was created over a period of six months .

In July 2012 the members of Heisskalt signed a contract with the booking agency Sparta Entertainment . At the beginning of September, the group took part in the New Music Award , in which the Hamburg band tape recorder was able to prevail. Shortly thereafter, Heisskalt received an artist contract with the independent label Chimperator Department . This was previously known only for hip-hop music. Due to the success of the label artist Cro , Chimperator Productions founded a new department under the name Chimperator Department for music of other genres and signed Heisskalt as the first rock group. On January 11, 2013, the second EP was released with love brewed in a limited edition of 5,000 units. From this the pieces December air and Hello were implemented as videos. From January 11th to January 28th, 2013 Heisskalt accompanied the band Jennifer Rostock as the opening act at fourteen concerts. This was followed by the “ With Love Brewed Tour ”, a tour of its own that included ten appearances. At the beginning of May 2013, the group appeared on the ProSieben broadcast Circus HalliGalli . A short time later, she appeared on the late-night show Inas Nacht . In the summer of 2013, Heisskalt played again at the Southside Festival as well as at the Hurricane , the Open Flair Festival and, as in 2012, at the Mini-Rock Festival . Furthermore, at the end of July, the band was awarded the Music Prize of the Association of German Concert Directors.

On March 21, 2014, Heisskalt's debut album was released under the title Vom Stehen und Fallen . The piece that stays here was implemented as a video as the first title. From standing and falling entered the German album charts at number 29.

At the end of September 2015 the band announced on Facebook and Instagram that the four are in the studio to record the second album, which will be called "Vom Wissen und Wollen". With Euphoria in March 2016 and Absorber in April 2016, two videos were presented before the album was released. Before the album was released, Heisskalt played the "That's not necessary, but we love it" tour through small clubs in Germany, Austria, Belgium and Switzerland. The Visions magazine accompanied her on this trip three days and wrote to a report.

On July 22, 2016, the band announced on Facebook that they had separated from their bass player Lucas Mayer, no reasons were given.

In autumn 2016, Heisskalt went on tour again for Vom Wissen und Wollen . Together with their support bands Lygo and Lirr they released the common song Worth Living . Heisskalt also recorded a live album at these concerts. Live on March 31, 2017.

In 2017, Heisskalt were on tour for the Goethe-Institut in France.

On August 12, 2017, Heisskalt performed in pouring rain at the Open Flair Festival in Eschwege. A video of the title Sad Power is available on the OF Festival website.

Daniel Weber, also bassist of the progressive rock band The Intersphere , supported the band at their concerts on bass from summer 2016. As a band, the group wanted to stay three for the time being, it said in an Instagram comment at the end of 2017. At their end-of-year concert on December 16, 2017 in LKA Longhorn , Heisskalt announced that Daniel Weber would be the live cast before the 2018 festival season is left.

On May 12, 2018, a music video for the new single Bürgerliche Ursprung was released. Since May 23rd, the third self-recorded album Idylle has been available as a free download.

Exclusively for Record Store Week 2018, they released a split on October 12, 2018, together with Blackout Problems . These could be purchased in various record stores, in the Munich Warehouse and in their online shop as a 7 inch.

reception

The Association of German Concert Directors awarded Heisskalt in 2013 with its music prize .
