Heroes 06 is a brick film and the follow-up project to the film Die Helden von Bern . The film served the three makers as a diploma thesis in the subject "Media and Information Science" at the University of Offenburg .

content

The film shows the television broadcast of a fictional final of the 2006 soccer World Cup . In this, the German national team competes against a world team. After a deficit of two goals, the German team manage to turn the game around and become world champions for the fourth time.

The makers

The three students Florian Plag, Martin Seibert and Ingo Steidl produced a brick film as a term paper back in 2002. In The Heroes of Bern , the highlights of the World Cup final from the 1954 World Cup were presented, underlined with the original commentary by Herbert Zimmermann . Heroes 06 , however, was commented on several times by different people, such as by HSV - announcer Lotto King Karl . Gerd Delling and Günter Netzer , who actually carried out this activity together up to the 2010 soccer World Cup, lead through half-time .

movie theater

As with the first project, cinemas all over Germany were able to show the film on 35 mm .
