Helizandro Terán Bermúdez
Helizandro Terán Bermúdez OSA (born June 7, 1965 in Maracaibo , Venezuela ) is a Venezuelan clergyman and Roman Catholic bishop of Ciudad Guayana .
Life
Helizandro Terán Bermúdez joined the religious community of the Augustinian Order and made perpetual profession on December 23, 1994 . He received on 9 September 1995, the sacrament of Holy Orders .
On July 29, 2017, Pope Francis appointed him Bishop of Ciudad Guayana. The Archbishop of Mérida , Cardinal Baltazar Porras , ordained him episcopal on September 23 of the same year in the Cathedral of Mérida. Co- consecrators were the Bishop of La Guaira , Raúl Biord Castillo SDB , and the Bishop of San Carlos de Venezuela , Polito Rodríguez Méndez .
