Helmut Peuser (born April 27, 1940 in Erbach im Taunus , today a district of Bad Camberg ) is a Hessian politician ( CDU ) and was a member of the Hessian state parliament .

Family, education and work

Helmut Peuser was born the son of the master upholsterer Josef Peuser in his hometown Erbach. His father was an opponent of the Nazi regime and from 1945 long-time mayor of Erbach, his mother died when he was born. After finishing school, Helmut Peuser completed an apprenticeship as a carpenter from 1955 to 1958 and worked in this profession from 1958 to 1963. In 1963 he passed the master carpenter's examination and worked as an independent master carpenter from 1963 to 1967. The practicing Catholic Helmut Peuser has been living in his birthplace Erbach again since 2015.

politics

From 1967 to 1990 Peuser was district manager of the CDU district association Limburg-Weilburg, from 1990 to 1995 deputy CDU regional manager and from 1990 to 1995 regional manager of the local political association. Peuser is a member of the CDU and has been a member of the CDU district council Limburg-Weilburg since 1966, from 1990 to 2000 deputy district chairman, from 1994 to 2013 chairman of the CDU city association Limburg an der Lahn and from 2000 to 2015 district chairman of the CDU Limburg- Weilburg.

In terms of local politics, Peuser was active as a community representative in Erbach from 1968 to 1974 and from 1968 to 1972 as a member of the Limburg district council and since 1972 as an honorary district member of the Limburg-Weilburg district .

As a directly elected member of the Hessian state parliament (constituency: 21 - Limburg-Weilburg I) he had been since April 5, 1995 and was deputy chairman of the interior committee there since March 21, 2006 and a member of the council of elders and the main committee until the state elections in Hesse in 2009 .
