The Nassauische Neue Presse (NNP) is a regional daily newspaper and a header of the Frankfurter Neue Presse (FNP). It appears in the district of Limburg-Weilburg ( Hesse ) and in the Westerwald and Rhein-Lahn districts (both Rhineland-Palatinate ). The sold circulation is 14,329 copies, a decrease of 45.5 percent since 1998.
history
The Nassauische Neue Presse was the first head page of the FNP. It came out for the first time on September 15, 1948 in Limburg an der Lahn instead of the Frankfurt edition. The paper was entitled Limburger Neue Presse .
In 1963 the Frankfurter Neue Presse took over the Nassauer Bote , which was also published in Limburg , merged it with the Limburger Neue Presse and renamed the new headline the Nassauische Landeszeitung . The distribution area extended over the former Limburg district , the Unterlahnkreis and parts of the former Oberlahnkreis and Unterwesterwaldkreis . At the beginning of 1985 the newspaper was renamed Nassauische Neue Presse .

The Nassauische Neue Presse has lost a lot of its circulation in recent years . The circulation sold has fallen by an average of 5.1% per year over the past 10 years. Last year it decreased by 4.9%. It is currently 14,329 copies. The share of subscriptions in the circulation sold is 92.5 percent.

Joachim Heidersdorf has been the head of the local editorial office at Neumarkt in Limburg since 2002. The distribution area covers large parts of the Limburg-Weilburg district, with the exception of the northeastern municipalities of the district, which are dominated by the Weilburger Tageblatt . On the other hand, the distribution area of the NNP extends beyond the state border to Rhineland-Palatinate . The NNP is also read in Diez , the (former) community of Hahnstätten and some communities in the Westerwaldkreis near the border .
