Henner's Dream - The largest tourism project in Europe is a German documentary from 2008 about the plans Heinrich Sattler , the former mayor of Hofgeismar , North Hesse Beberbeck the resort Beberbeck to build. It was created under the direction of Klaus Stern .

action

The documentation shows how the Beberbeck domain in Reinhardswald was to become the largest European holiday and leisure complex. In addition to five luxurious hotels, 600 villas and holiday apartments with a total of 4500 beds, several golf courses, an artificial lake landscape of 34 hectares, as well as a trotting track with an attached horse center and polo field were planned on 800 hectares. The initiator of the project was Heinrich (Henner) Sattler ( CDU ), who was mayor of Hofgeismar from 1997 to 2014.

For two and a half years, Klaus Stern's team accompanied the politician Heinrich Sattler and his architect Tom Krause as they tried to find investors for the “largest tourism project in Europe”. Ultimately, the controversial project failed. On December 17, 2010, Heinrich Sattler announced at the meeting of the Hofgeismar City Councilors' meeting that the Beberbeck holiday project was "off", two years after the film Henner's Dream - Europe's largest tourism project was published .
