Henny Trundt

Henriette Trundt (born August 29, 1897 in Worms , † June 29, 1998 in Bad Neuenahr ) was a German opera singer ( soprano ).

Life

Henny Trundt was a singing student of Rudolf von Milde and Mathilde Mallinger . She made her debut as a soprano in Mainz in 1919 , then went to Cologne , where she stayed until 1933. During her time in Cologne she made guest appearances at the Bayreuth Festival in 1927 and 1928 , sang in Paris in 1929 and also appeared in Amsterdam , Berlin , Stockholm , Monte-Carlo , Milan and Madrid . From 1933 to 1939 she was engaged at the Frankfurt Opera . Her most important roles were: Brünnhilde ( The Ring of the Nibelung ) , Isolde ( Tristan and Isolde ) , Kundry ( Parsifal ) , Färberin ( The Woman Without a Shadow ) , Marschallin ( The Rosenkavalier ) , Leonore ( Fidelio ) , Amelia ( A Masked Ball ) , Sieglinde ( Die Walküre ), Berthalda ( Undine ) , Fricka.

She completed the last four years of her singing career in Duisburg . Henny Trundt spent her retirement in a retirement home in Bad Neuenahr, where she was only known as Mrs. Caesar (she was married to a Mr. Caesar).
