Henrik Ruud Tovås (born March 6, 1987 in Oslo ) is a Norwegian handball player who plays for the Norwegian first division club Bækkelaget Håndball Elite .

Career

Henrik Ruud Tovås played in the Norwegian Postenligaen for Haslum HK , for whom he played in the European Cup Winners' Cup , the EHF Cup , the EHF Europe Cup and the EHF Champions League . For the 2013/14 season , the 1.93 meter tall goalkeeper moved to the German second division club SC DHfK Leipzig , with whom he was promoted to the handball Bundesliga in 2015 . From the 2015/16 season he will be between the posts at third division club HC Elbflorenz . In the summer of 2017 he moved to the Norwegian first division side Bækkelaget Håndball Elite .

Tovås is a member of the Norwegian national team , for which he has played eleven internationals so far .
