Henryk Pytel (born September 15, 1955 in Sosnowiec ) is a former Polish ice hockey player who played for the EV Landshut and the Polish national team from 1974 to 1991, among others .

Career

Pytel was for many years one of the dominant players in his hometown club Zagłębie Sosnowiec and in the Polish national team . After winning the Polish championship four times in a row with his club team and taking part in the 1976 Winter Olympics in Innsbruck and 1980 in Lake Placid , he was allowed to move to Germany.

From the 1983/84 season he played for EV Landshut and took part in the 1984 Winter Olympics in Sarajevo for his home country . With 35 goals he was the most successful goalscorer in his first Bundesliga season. After three years in Landshut, he moved to 1986/87 season for ESC Wolfsburg , where he and Stanislaw Klocek was the most dangerous attacking duo of the league and the team helped the rise. He then moved to EV Pfronten . After four years of league ice hockey in the Allgäu, he ended his active career.
