Herbert Bacher

Herbert Bacher (born April 4, 1930 in Klagenfurt ; † May 19, 2012 ) was a Carinthian politician of the ÖVP .

Bacher was Carinthian ÖVP Obman and Chairman of the Raiffeisen Association . 1964–1970 he was chairman of the Carinthian farmers' union . 1972–1978 he was second deputy governor in the Sima II , Wagner I and Wagner II governments , after he had already belonged to the Wedenig V and Sima I governments . He was a member of the Carinthian Landtag from 1960–1979 ( 20th , 21st , 22nd , 23rd and 24th Landtag ).

In the 1970s, Bacher achieved over thirty percent for the ÖVP state election results, which was an all-time high for them in Carinthia.
