State government Wedenig V
The provincial government of Wedenig V forms the Carinthian provincial government in the 20th legislative period from its election on March 30, 1960 until the subsequent provincial government Sima I is sworn in . In the state government, the Social Democratic Party of Austria (SPÖ) provided the first deputy governor and two state councilors in addition to the governor, while the Austrian People's Party (ÖVP) sent the second deputy governor and a provincial councilor. In addition, the Freedom Party of Austria (FPÖ) provided a regional council.
The first change in the composition of the state government came when Karl Schleinzer (ÖVP) resigned from his mandate on April 13, 1961. Herbert Bacher followed him that day . In addition, Matthias Krassnig resigned his post as 1st Deputy Governor in a letter dated July 8, 1963, whereupon Hans Sima was elected as his successor on July 12, 1963 and Hans Schober succeeded him as Regional Councilor.
choice
In the election of the governor, which took place in a majority vote, the previous governor Ferdinand Wedenig (SPÖ) was re-elected governor with 18 of 36 votes cast. 18 votes remained empty (invalid). The electoral governor deputy was elected according to proportional representation, with Matthias Krassnig (SPÖ) as first and Thomas Truppe (ÖVP) as second deputy governor. In the election, voting by means of ballot paper was waived, which means that the candidates were considered elected on the basis of sufficiently signed nominations from their state parliamentary club. The state councils were also elected on the basis of sufficiently signed nominations.
