State government Kernmaier
The provincial government of Kernmaier forms the Carinthian provincial government from its election on January 22nd, 1931 to the dismissal of Governor Ferdinand Kernmaier on February 16, 1934 and until the successor government of Hülgerth was sworn in on March 7th, 1934.
The election of the state government of Kernmaier took place on January 22, 1931, after the election in the state parliament session of December 30, 1930 was prevented by the departure of the members of the Social Democratic Workers 'Party of German Austria, the Heimatblock, the National Socialist German Workers' Party and the Carinthian Slovenes. The governor was finally elected on January 22nd by majority voting, with Ferdinand Kernmaier (National Economic Bloc and Landbund) receiving 21 of 34 votes, with 13 blank ballot papers being cast. The other members of the state government were elected according to proportional representation. Of the 30 votes cast, the two Deputy Governor August Neutzler (SDAP) and Vinzenz Schumy (Landbund) achieved 22 and 20 votes, respectively, and Sylvester Lee received 7 votes. Matthias Zeinitzer (SDAP), Georg Lora (SDAP) and Hans Lagger (SDAP) were elected by the regional councils with 28 votes and Sylvester Leer (CS) with 29 out of 30 votes. On August 17, 1932, the state councils were confirmed in office. On January 22, 1931, the Landtag also elected Gustav Pomaroli (SDAP), Georg Hubmann (SDAP) and Hans Sattleger (National Economic Bloc and Landbund) as members of the Federal Council . As a result of the February battles in 1934 , Governor Kernmaier lost his office on February 16, 1934 because, according to the argument, he was elected with the votes of the Social Democrats. As a result, Silvester Leer took over the office of governor until the state parliament elected the Hülgerth state government on March 7, 1934 .
In the course of the February fights in 1934 , on February 12, 1934, the Austrian Social Democratic Workers' Party was banned by a regulation of the federal government (Federal Law Gazette No. 78), whereby the social democratic members of the Carinthian state government also lost their seats.
