State government Leopold Wagner IV

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The provincial government Leopold Wagner IV formed the Carinthian provincial government in the 25th legislative period from the inauguration of the government on October 30, 1984 to the resignation of Wagner and the inauguration of the new governor Peter Ambrozy and the Ambrozy government on September 27, 1988.

In the state elections in 1984 , a state parliament mandate was changed from the Austrian People's Party (ÖVP) to the Freedom Party of Austria (FPÖ), but the distribution of government seats remained the same. The Social Democratic Party of Austria (SPÖ) continued to provide four of the seven government members who were assigned according to the proportional representation system. In addition to the governor, the SPÖ also sent the first deputy governor and two regional councilors to the government. In addition to the second deputy governor, the ÖVP provided a state councilor. The FPÖ was represented in the government with a regional council.

The state government Wagner IV entered the new government period unchanged compared to the previous government Wagner III . There were three changes during the tenure itself. First of all, Stefan Knafl (ÖVP) resigned from his post as second deputy governor on July 4, 1986 and was replaced on that day by Harald Scheucher . In addition, Jörg Haider (FPÖ) moved to the National Council after the successful National Council election in 1986 and handed over his office to Jörg Freunschlag on December 18, 1986 . Furthermore, Hans Schumi (ÖVP) renounced his mandate as a regional councilor on June 30, 1988. On July 1, 1988, Johann Ramsbacher succeeded him as member of the government.
