State government Wedenig III
The provincial government Wedenig III forms the Carinthian provincial government from its election on April 28, 1953 to the inauguration of the provincial government Wedenig IV on June 1, 1956. The election initially failed on March 17, 1953 in the constituent state parliament session after the MPs from ÖVP and WdU had prevented an election by moving out of the state parliament. Ferdinand Wedenig (SPÖ) was finally elected on April 28th with 18 votes, the remaining ballot papers remained empty. The offices of the provincial governor's deputy and the provincial councilors were assigned according to the proportional system , whereby an election had not been made. Therefore, for the election of these people, only sufficiently supported nominations from their respective clubs were submitted, which were subsequently approved.
