Ambrozy State Government

The Ambrozy provincial government formed the Carinthian provincial government in the 25th legislative period from the resignation of the former governor Leopold Wagner and the inauguration of the new governor Peter Ambrozy on September 27, 1988 to the inauguration of the successor government Haider I on April 21, 1989. The Ambrozy provincial government followed while the Wagner IV after.

In the state elections in 1984 , a state parliament mandate was changed from the Austrian People's Party (ÖVP) to the Freedom Party of Austria (FPÖ), but the distribution of government seats remained the same. The Social Democratic Party of Austria (SPÖ) continued to provide four of the seven government members who were assigned according to the proportional representation system. In addition to the governor, the SPÖ also sent the first deputy governor and two regional councilors to the government. In addition to the second deputy governor, the ÖVP provided a state councilor. The FPÖ was represented in the government with a regional council.

The term of office of the Ambrozy state government began when Leopold Wagner had retired from his post as governor on September 27, 1988. He was followed by the previous member of the state parliament and state party secretary of the SPÖ-Carinthia, Peter Ambrozy, who was elected on the same day. In addition, the 1st Deputy Governor Erwin Frühbauer resigned on this day . He was followed on September 28 by the previous Provincial Councilor Rudolf Gallob . The vacant position of the Provincial Council took over from September 28th Herbert Schiller . There were no changes in government composition during the government's tenure.
