Provincial government Dörfler I

The provincial government Dörfler I was the incumbent Carinthian provincial government between the time of its election on October 23, 2008 and the assumption of office of the provincial government Dörfler II on March 31, 2009. After Jörg Haider's accidental death on October 11, 2008, Gerhard Dörfler took over the official business as deputy governor on an interim basis . On October 23, he was elected governor by the Carinthian state parliament, Uwe Scheuch as the first deputy governor and Harald Dobernig as the financial councilor. Due to the proportional representation system , three representatives each from the BZÖ and SPÖ as well as one representative from the ÖVP were represented in the state government.
