Herbert Schaudt

Herbert Schaudt (born June 20, 1933 in Karsau , today in Rheinfelden (Baden) ) is a German architect who works primarily in southwest Germany, particularly in Constance .

Life

After an apprenticeship as a technical draftsman from 1949 to 1951, he found his first job from 1952 to 1957 at the Rheinfelden aluminum works . From 1958 to 1962 he studied architecture at the Konstanz University of Applied Sciences . He then worked from 1962 to 1964, initially at the Ruch architects' office in Bad Krozingen , then partner in the Birkle, Schaudt, Schneble offices in Constance . In 1970 he opened his own architecture office there. In addition, during this time he had teaching assignments at the FH Biberach , the FH Konstanz and the Stuttgart Art Academy . In 1993 he entered into an office partnership with Roland Sorichter, Martin Cleffmann, Helmut Hagmüller and Andreas Rogg. Since 2001 he has been a freelancer at Schaudt Architects. Schaudt is a member of the Association of German Architects and the German Werkbund .

Schaudt won many competitions and received numerous awards for his work. In 1999 he was appointed honorary professor at the Konstanz University of Applied Sciences .
