Herbert W. Hofmann

Herbert W. Hofmann (born November 29, 1934 in Worms ) is a German sports official .

Life

The banker Hofmann worked in a management position at Volksbank Worms from 1860 . He has been married since 1962 and has four children.

Hofmann has been a member of the Turngemeinde 1846 Worms since his youth , of which he was chairman; after leaving this office, he was elected honorary chairman of the association. Hofmann is also an honorary member of the board of the Rheinhessischer Turnerbund. From 1998 to 2006 he was President of the Rheinhessen Sports Association; then he was made honorary president. As Vice President, he represented the State Sports Association of Rhineland-Palatinate in important sport-political decisions.

Hofmann was a member of the City Council (CDU) of the city of Worms for a total of twenty years . He has been honored several times by various institutions for his voluntary work.
