Heribert Koch (pianist)

Heribert Koch (* 1961 ) is a German pianist , piano teacher and lecturer .

After graduating from the Burgau-Gymnasium in Düren , Koch studied music in Cologne , Karlsruhe and London . He attended master classes with Tatjana Petrovna Nikolajewa and Mieczysław Horszowski, among others . In London he learned from Peter Feuchtwanger , whom he later supported occasionally in his master classes.

In addition to maintaining the standard repertoire, the pianist is always committed to seldom performed works. He presented the anniversaries 2010/11, Schumann , Chopin and Liszt in Paris , London, Ljubljana , Novi Sad , Kristiansund , Prague , Saint Petersburg and Pristina as well as in Australia .

Heribert Koch is a board member of the European Piano Teachers Association (EPTA) in Germany, an international association of piano teachers. He is a juror at music competitions around the world and teaches at the Münster University of Music . He teaches a boy in India on Skype .

Heribert Koch lives in Langerwehe .
