Heribert Märten

Heribert Märten (born February 15, 1935 in Mainz ; † June 5, 1995 ) was a Hessian politician ( CDU ) and a former member of the Hessian state parliament .

education and profession

After graduating from high school in 1955, Heribert Märten studied German, history, philosophy and politics at the University of Frankfurt am Main, worked as a student trainee and passed his first state examination in 1960. After legal clerkship (1961 to 1963) and the second state examination, he worked as a teacher at the Rheingau School in Geisenheim from 1963 to 1970 .

Heribert Märten was married and had two children.

politics

As a member of the CDU, Heribert Märten was a district board member, district board member and state board member. Since 1964 he was a community representative in Winkel (Rheingau) and then a city councilor in Oestrich-Winkel . As a member of the Rheingau district council , he led the CDU parliamentary group as chairman since 1968.

From December 1, 1970 to June 20, 1977 he was a member of the Hessian state parliament. From 1977 to 1983 Märten was the first district administrator in the Rheingau-Taunus district that was newly formed during the Hessian regional reform .

Other offices

Heribert Märten has been the deputy chairman of the Hessian Tourist Association since 1982. He volunteered in youth work and adult education and was managing director of the White Ring .
