Bernd Röttger

Bernd Röttger (* 1950 or 1951 ) is a journalist and former Hessian local politician of the CDU . He lives in Hünstetten - Beuerbach .

Career

After the local elections in Hesse in 1997, Röttger became chairman of the CDU parliamentary group in the district assembly of the Rheingau-Taunus district and was elected as the successor to Klaus Frietsch as district administrator on February 28, 1999 with 53.0% of the vote for six years . He took office on July 5, 1999. Due to his not undisputed leadership, which earned him a reputation as Rambo , he failed in the re-election in 2005 against his challenger and deputy, the First District Member Burkhard Albers ( SPD ); in the runoff election on March 6, 2005, he only achieved 42.6% of the votes.
