Hermann Anton Friedrich Prince of Hatzfeldt zu Trachenberg (born October 2, 1808 in Berlin ; † July 20, 1874 at Trachenberg Castle ) was a German nobleman , 2nd Prince of Hatzfeldt-Trachenberg and a politician .

Life

Hermann von Hatzfeldt zu Trachenberg was the eldest son of Prince Franz Ludwig von Hatzfeldt zu Trachenberg (1756-1827) and his wife Friederike Caroline (Sophie), née Countess von der Schulenburg-Kehnert (1779-1832). His younger brother Maximilian von Hatzfeldt-Trachenberg (1813–1859) became a diplomat, his older sister was Sophie von Hatzfeldt (1805–1881), Ferdinand Lassalle's partner .

Hermann von Hatzfeldt zu Trachenberg, who was a Catholic denomination, married Henriette Charlotte Luise Mathilde Countess von Reichenbach-Goschütz (1799-1858), a daughter of Count Heinrich Leopold von Reichenbach-Goschütz , on June 11, 1831 in Trachenberg Schmarker-Ellguth and Krutschen. The marriage was divorced on October 6, 1846. On April 6, 1847, he married his second wife Marie Mathilde Leokadie Anna, née Countess von Nimptsch , in Laskowitz . von Buch (1820–1897), the daughter of the general landscape representative Carl Friedrich von Nimptsch, Herr auf Jäschkowitz and Sibotschütz. Both wives were of Protestant denomination. His son from his second marriage, Hermann von Hatzfeldt (1848–1933), succeeded him in the class rule.

Hermann von Hatzfeldt zu Trachenberg became Prince in the Principality of Trachenberg in 1827. Until 1830 inheritance disputes with the Wildenburg line of the family over the division of the property in Trachenberg, in the Rhineland and in Waldmanshofen in Franconia dragged on. From 1839 to 1847 he was general landscape director in Silesia. In 1843 he acquired the Bärsdorf manors near Bojanowo and Gußwitz in the province of Posen .

Hermann von Hatzfeldt zu Trachenberg was a member of the Provincial Parliament of the Province of Silesia from 1827 to 1874 . In 1842 he was a member of the United States Committees for the Province of Silesia and in 1847 of the United State Parliament . In 1849 he was elected to the Second Prussian Chamber . As a hereditary beneficiary for the Principality of Trachenberg, he was a member of the Prussian mansion from 1854 to 1874 . In 1850 he was a member of the Volkshaus of the Erfurt Union Parliament .
