Hermann Bückmann (goldsmith)

Hermann Bückmann (full name Hermann Friedrich Wilhelm Bückmann * to 1814 in Brünninghausen ; † after 1866 ) was a German goldsmith , Hof - jewelry and gold and silver workers.

Life

Hermann Bückmann, born around the beginning of the Kingdom of Hanover in the Amt Lauenstein , completed an apprenticeship with Gustav Albert Kemnis in Hanover and then worked in Vienna , Switzerland and Paris during his six-year wanderings . In 1841 he received his master craftsman's certificate and on June 29 of the same year took the citizenship oath of the then royal seat of Hanover.

Bückmann married the Hanoverian citizen daughter Sophie Dorothee Täger. According to the church records of the Marktkirche , a daughter was born to the couple on April 21, 1847.

From 1854 Bückmann appeared in the address books of the royal capital and residence city of Hanover as a court jeweler and independent gold and silver worker, at that time in the house at Leinstrasse 22 . Also in 1854 he received a medal while participating in the First General German Industrial Exhibition in Munich. In addition, he had been awarded the Silver and the Great Golden Medal for his exhibits at various trade shows organized by the Hanover Trade Association in the Kingdom of Hanover .

No later than 1863 was the Royal Court Jeweler with his "camp of jewels, fine and ordinary jewelers and Silberwaaren" Headquartered in the house Georgstraße 7, "the bench opposite, next to British-Hôtel."
