Hermann Berg (politician)

Hermann Berg (born August 29, 1905 in Altena , † October 21, 1982 in Benndorf) was a German politician ( FDP , FVP , DP ).

Life

Berg first studied mathematics and natural sciences in Munich , where he became a member of the Corps Vitruvia in 1925 . He later switched courses and studied medicine. In 1933 he received his doctorate at the University of Cologne with a dissertation on the question of heat regulation by the lungs .

From 1934 to 1937 he was an assistant at the pharmacological institute of the Albert Ludwig University of Freiburg . From 1938 until the end of the World War he worked as a doctor in the Wehrmacht , most recently as senior staff and division doctor . After working in the laboratory of Asta AG in Brackwede in 1946/47 , he then joined his parents' company in Grüne , where he took over the management of the hospital furniture department.

In 1937 Hermann Berg joined the NSDAP ( membership number 4,352,267). In 1952 he became a member of the FDP. In protest against the coalition change in North Rhine-Westphalia from the CDU to the SPD , he left the Liberals on February 23, 1956 with the "Ministerial Wing" (also known as the Euler Group ) and co-founded the Free People's Party (FVP), which formed in March 1957 joined the DP.

Berg was a member of the German Bundestag from June 27, 1955, when he replaced the late Carl Wirths , until 1957.
