Hermann Fricke (master builder)

Heinrich August Wilhelm Hermann Fricke (born April 27, 1851 in Königslutter am Elm , † April 24, 1906 in Wolfenbüttel ) was a German builder .

Life

Fricke was born as the son of a master bricklayer in Königslutter, attended the secondary school in Braunschweig and then studied architecture at the local polytechnic . In 1872 he passed the first and in 1875 the second state examination. In 1876 he passed the master builder examination.

After study trips to southern Germany and Italy, he was appointed Ducal Master Builder in 1878. In the same year he was given construction management for the construction of the new post and telegraph building in Braunschweig. In 1889 he delivered the design for the new church in Beinum . In 1891 he built the house for the ducal tax authority. From 1894 he was a district building inspector.

In 1897 he was transferred to Schöningen. Among other things, he made designs for the salt works in Schöningen , the theater in Wolfenbüttel and the Kurhaus in Bad Harzburg . In 1901 he moved back to Wolfenbüttel, where he died at the age of only 55.
