Hermann Frohberger
Gerhard August Hermann Frohberger (born March 31, 1836 in Leipzig , † March 28, 1874 in Chemnitz ) was a German classical philologist .
Life
Frohberger studied from 1847 at the Thomas School in Leipzig . After graduating from high school in 1852, he studied theology , history and philology a . a. with Anton Westermann at the University of Leipzig . In 1857 he finished his studies as a high school teacher and was promoted to Dr. phil. PhD . He initially taught ancient language and history in Rogasen and at the Friedrich-Wilhelm Gymnasium in Posen . Later he moved to Zittau . In 1861 he became a senior teacher at the Princely School in Grimma . In 1872 he received the vice rectorate at the Chemnitz grammar school .
