Hermann Gautier (born June 25, 1920 in Bremen ; † April 23, 2010 ibid) was a German politician ( KPD / DKP ). He was a member of the Bremen parliament and deputy chairman of the DKP.

biography

Gautier trained as a commercial clerk. During the Second World War he was recruited into the Wehrmacht . When his Wehrmacht unit was destroyed in 1944, he happened to be on wedding leave. He was later taken prisoner of war .

The fighting community against fascism arose in the kitchen of his parents' house in 1945 . As a result, he was active in the KPD since 1946. In 1946 he became cashier in the Bremen district executive, from 1947 to 1949 he was youth secretary at the KPD party executive in Frankfurt am Main , after which he took on various functions in Bremen. From 1951 he was first state secretary of the KPD in Bremen and from 1951 to 1959 a member of the Bremen citizenship, but from January 5, 1957 only with the group of Independent Socialists (CIS) in the Bremen city ​​citizenship . After the KPD was banned by the Federal Constitutional Court , he continued his work for the KPD and became a candidate for the Politburo and, from 1962, a full member of the Politburo.

Gautier ran for the citizenship election in Bremen in 1959 with the Voters' Association against Nuclear Armament for Peace and Understanding (WgaA), which failed because of the 5% hurdle. He also participated in the establishment of the DFU at the federal level. From July 1961 to May 1962 he was in custody and in 1966 was sentenced by the Federal Court of Justice to eight months in prison. In 1968 he was one of the founders of the DKP at federal level and was its deputy party chairman from 1973. In his last decades he was active for the Social Association Germany and in the senior working group of the United Service Union (Ver.di).

He was married to Hanna Gautier. His son Dieter Gautier (born June 23, 1946) was deputy federal chairman of the SDAJ for a long time and head of the DKP district of Bremen / Lower Saxony-Northwest in the late 1980s.
