Hermann Harm
Hermann Harm (born September 30, 1894 in Halle (Saale) ; † November 28, 1985 in Hartenholm ) was a German SS brigade leader and a major general of the police who worked as an SS and police leader (SSPF).
Life
Harm, the son of a railway inspector, studied electronics before the outbreak of the First World War . He was a soldier in the First World War . After the war he worked in agriculture and later as an estate manager. He joined the NSDAP ( membership number 204.385) and SA in 1930 and switched from the SA to the SS in February 1932 (membership number 21.342). From February to December 1932 he led the second storm of the 40th SS standard in Kiel , then until June 1933 the 4th SS standard in Hartenholm and from March to December 1933 he was staff leader in the upper section "North". Then he was leader in SS Section XIV ( Bremen ) until March 1935 and then until April 1937 staff leader in the Race and Settlement Main Office (RuSHA).
From April 1937 to June 1938 he worked for the judicial office of the Reichsführer SS staff and became SS honorary leader in 1938 . From May 1939 to July 1942 he was staff leader in the SS upper section "North" (later renamed the Baltic Sea) under Emil Mazuw and in July 1942 SS and police leader e.g. at the higher SSPF "Russia-South" Hans-Adolf Prützmann . From August 1942 he was SSPF Dnjepropetrovsk , then again SSPF eg V. at the HSSPF "Russia-South" until July 1943. His tasks there included the implementation of special orders for the purpose of gang fighting in the Pripjet swamps . From the beginning of July 1943 to April 1944 he was SSPF Lithuania and then until autumn 1944 with the highest SSPF " Ukraine " Prützmann. His last post was from August 1944 to the beginning of May 1945, the position of adjutant under the HSSPF "Alpenland" Erwin Rösener .
After the war ended, Harm worked as a farmer in Schleswig-Holstein . He died in Hartenholm in November 1985.
