Hermann Heeren

Hermann Heeren (born April 17, 1688 in Bremen ; † May 10, 1745 ibid) was a German Protestant clergyman and cathedral preacher at Bremen Cathedral.

biography

Heeren was the son of Heinrich Erhard Heeren, a Bremen citizen and brewer. After attending the cathedral school in Bremen, he studied theology in Wittenberg and Leipzig . After his return to Bremen in 1719 he was appointed cabinet minister to the Swedish Count Gyllenborg. In 1722 he passed the philological candidate exam in Stade and then became tutor in the country of Wursten . In 1725 he became a pastor in Wremen before serving as a cathedral preacher at Bremen Cathedral from 1741 until his death .

His son from his marriage to Anna von Lutten in 1727 was the evangelical clergyman Heinrich Erhard Heeren (1728-1811).
