Hermann König (politician)

Hermann König (born June 2, 1814 in Osterode am Harz , † March 16, 1902 in Hanover ) was a lawyer and member of the Reichstag of the North German Confederation .

Life

König attended high school in Hildesheim and studied law in Göttingen and Heidelberg . He worked as a lawyer in Osterode and in 1859 refused the offered office of Hanoverian chamber lawyer. Since the occupation of Hanover, he was called in by the Prussian government in important legal matters as a consultant. From 1864 to 1866 he was a member of the Second Brunswick Chamber.

In 1867 he was a member of the Reichstag of the North German Confederation for the constituency of Hanover 13 ( Goslar , Zellerfeld , Ilfeld ) and the National Liberal Party .

After his election to the treasury of the Hanoverian Provincial Association in 1868, he had to resign from his office a year later due to an accident. In the following year he moved to Hanover, where he became the syndic of a railway company.
