Hermann Söder

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Hermann Söder (* 1945 / 1946 ; † 25. July 2006 ) was a German local politician ( CDU ).

From 1996 to 2002 he was an honorary and then a full-time district administrator of the district of Soltau-Fallingbostel until 2006 . He worked as a farmer in the Kirchboitzen district of Walsrode .

Political career

Söder was politically active for the CDU for over 30 years. In 1972 he was elected to the Kirchboitzen Council for the first time , after the municipal reform to the Council of the City of Walsrode . On November 1, 1977 he came to the district council for the first time. He was parliamentary group chairman Walsrodes, parliamentary group chairman of the CDU district parliamentary group and a member of the CDU district executive committee. He applied for the federal elections in 1990 and 1994 in what was then the constituency of Soltau-Fallingbostel - Rotenburg , but was unable to prevail within the party against Heinz-Günter Bargfrede , who finally entered the Bundestag twice . In the district election in the Soltau-Fallingbostel district on September 15, 1996, he won against the SPD candidate Arnold Richter and took over the initially honorary and mainly representative post of district administrator from his predecessor Wolfgang Buhr (CDU). He was at the top of the table together with Chief District Director Klaus Schumacher . On September 9, 2001, he was re-elected with 58.98 percent and thus clearly prevailed against Wilfried Worch-Rohweder (SPD). From February 1, 2002 he was sworn in as the first full-time district administrator in the district. The post of senior district director and thus the dual leadership will be abolished.
